A wonderful Workshop
What a wonderful, wonderful workshop in The Imaginarium last 25th of February.
We had a full house of aspiring authors who made the experience incredibly smooth. They all participated eagerly to the exercises, shared their work and engaged in some brief but absolutely intense brainstorming sessions.
To all the attendees, thank you.
And thank you to Robyn, who opened up her bookshop to a bunch of SFF fans on a Sunday evening.
Hopefully I can offer more courses and workshops in the near future, both in person and online, but for now, I wanted to share some feedback I received just after this one.
I enjoyed hearing other people’s ideas and questions about the exercises we were given. The exercises were clear and fun to do.
I liked how it was broken down into steps. I’ve never thought of myself as being able to write a story but with the breakdown it feels achievable
It felt like a university style lesson. Very structured and made me think in a much more productive way. Really practical tips and strategies.
I think for a first introduction to start writing a novel, it was perfect.
Thanks for a great evening!
It felt like you are a professional teacher and I feel you gave very good advice and made most of the time.
On my drive home I came up with an amazing idea. I have since padded outthe plot and now letting it simmer in my sub-conscious
Needless to say, I’m over the moon.
If you know someone who wants to improve their writing and needs some support, send them my newsletter, and if you’d like to collaborate with me just give me a shout!
A Beautiful Quote
We have to keep being pulled into a story in order for it to do anything to us.
